It's when they are carved that they don't last as long. :-)
Enjoy!
Jami
An Oregon CottageJami @ An Oregon Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17667526972866583695noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3419163121335510343.post-71298940434794178122010-09-15T11:30:43.611-07:002010-09-15T11:30:43.611-07:00Great - thanks for the guidance! My kids have already picked "their" pumpkin for Halloween, so I think it's fair to say they are excited. :-)Blonde Ambitionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16286367662345821568noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3419163121335510343.post-22613307991157708082010-09-14T20:16:44.155-07:002010-09-14T20:16:44.155-07:00No need to plant more now. Keep letting him or her ripen on the vine as long as the weather stays nice. Then when it is calling for our first frost, cut him off and put him in the cool garage. Then when the frost warnings are over, he can go back out in the sunshine and harden off. Pumpkins will last a long time. I am embrassed to admit, the ones I grew as a kid I LOVED - couldn't cut them up for halloween, so I stored them under my bed! Even in the warmth of the house they last until the new year :) Enjoy!Lexahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11067337116117320740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3419163121335510343.post-48467416993898221582010-09-14T15:21:18.788-07:002010-09-14T15:21:18.788-07:00We're planning pumpkins for next year's ga...We're planning pumpkins for next year's garden.
